Badminton and Athletics Success

Last week was a big one for Mernda Hills in sports! Last Tuesday 27 August, our students triumphed in the SSV Whittlesea Division Table Tennis, winning in six competitions across Year 7, Year 8, and Intermediate Boys and Girls. On Thursday 29 August, our Year 8 Boys’ Badminton team won the SSV Northern Metropolitan Region Badminton, earning a spot at State next Friday 13 September, while our Year 8 Girls were runners-up.
On Wednesday 4 September at the SSV Northern Metropolitan Region Athletics, Eva, Michael, and Ayanda brought home medals, with Eva placing second in both Discus and Shotput, Michael securing second in High Jump, and Ayanda earning third in High Jump. A fantastic effort from all!
