On Monday 5 May we celebrated the achievements of our secondary staff and students from Term 1. Throughout the term, more than 1,100 commendations were awarded for exceptional behaviour, and 11 students successfully completed the PB4L Challenge. Over $300 in prizes were distributed to those who consistently demonstrated our school values.
A remarkable 288 commendations were given to staff - our highest number yet! Johan, a new student to Mernda Hills, led the student commendation tally with an impressive 48 commendations. Well done, Johan! Mr Arora was also recognised as Teacher of the Term for receiving the most commendations.
We also introduced a homeroom trophy, awarded to the class with the highest weekly point total. The competition is already proving to be fierce.
Congratulations to all our secondary staff and students for their commendations and accomplishments. We look forward to continued growth and celebration in Term 2.
