Primary Sovereign Hill Camp

Our Year 5 and 6 students have stepped back in time, immersing themselves in the sights, sounds, and stories of the 1850s Gold Rush at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat! From panning for gold to exploring underground mines, experiencing old-fashioned classrooms, meeting costumed characters and transforming into 19th century school children, every moment so far has been hands-on and enriching.
This camp is more than just history, it’s a journey through time, connecting students to Australia’s past while sparking curiosity and teamwork.
