Mernda Hills Christian College is at the forefront of educational innovation! We are thrilled to announce that we are one of the first three schools in Victoria to test VIC VICE, an innovative virtual reality platform that brings the world of work directly into the classroom. Thanks to the HWLLEN (Hume Whittlesea Local Learning Employment Network), our students were able to dive into immersive VR experiences, explore diverse workplace settings and get a firsthand look at the tasks, challenges and rewards of various professions. This opportunity sets our students on a unique path to discovering their future careers!
Here’s what our students had to say about the experience:
This VR experience was so engaging and interactive. We had many choices of careers and activities to explore when utilising this tool. Careers included childcare, aged care, dentistry, distribution centers and many more. We also learned different techniques within a VR environment. This helped us have a broader understanding of career paths we could explore. Overall, this was a fun experience, especially after exams! Simone A
