Mernda Hills Christian College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our supportive team as a Tutor. This role involves providing Secondary English tutoring for approximately two days per week over a 10-week block. We offer some flexibility in scheduling and can accommodate either a casual arrangement with agreed dates or a fixed-term contract (two days per week for 10 weeks).
The tutor will support the learning needs of students in classroom, group and one-to-one settings. They will work in collaboration with classroom teachers, using their specialised knowledge and skills to address any gaps in student learning.
Requirements:
Applicants must be either:
A teacher currently registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
A teacher with VIT ‘Permission to Teach’ (Teacher Tutor)
Retired teachers with ‘Permission to Teach’ status
Teachers with specialisations in numeracy and literacy-related fields are particularly desirable
