Role Description

Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic School Pastoral Worker to join the team at Mernda Hills Christian College for an immediate start. This is a part-time position for 7.5 hours a week.

The primary responsibility of the School Pastoral Worker is to assist in the school’s chaplaincy program and contribute to the development of the chaplaincy team’s skills and knowledge as spiritual leaders within the school community. The role may suit someone passionate about Jesus and looking to gain some experience before or while exploring a career in ministry.

As a community member, you will collaborate with a team that is not only dedicated to education but also committed to supporting students and families in their spiritual journey with Jesus, thereby fostering hope within the community.

The ideal applicant will have a proven commitment to the mission of the SDA church, particularly within a Chaplaincy or Children’s Ministry context (e.g., helping at Summer Camp, Storm Co. and local church ministries).
