Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join the supportive team at Mernda Hills Christian College. This Part-Time (0.6 FTE) Fixed -Term teaching position is open to both experienced teachers and graduates, providing a fantastic opportunity to begin or grow your teaching career in a supportive environment. This role commences immediately and continues until the end of Term 3.

Key Responsibilities Skills and Qualifications

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated learning programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum, integrating ICT and using effective assessment strategies to evaluate and enhance student outcomes.
  • Apply evidence-based teaching practices and reflect critically on feedback to continuously improve professional knowledge, skills, and student learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a culture of improvement in teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system.
  • Actively support and promote the Christian-based values and ethos of the College, including planning and leading daily Christian devotions, in alignment with the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
  • Engage in professional learning to stay current with educational research and contribute to school priorities, while modelling the College’s values and behaviours.
